British Reining Clinic

As a result of some contribution from British Reining to the March Clinic the format will now slightly change and the clinic will focus on FEI competition. If you have ever wondered what you have to do to take part in an FEI class now is your chance to find out!

The FEI class at the British Reining Spring Show will be running pattern 6 and so the March Garden of England Show will put this pattern on for the Rookie, Open and Non Pro Classes.

You can run the pattern and on the Sunday the FEI Judge Alain Kronshagen will hold the usual critiquing session with each rider to determine where points were lost and gained, and give pointers in how to improve the score.

After that there will be a talk on how to present for an FEI class and a practice on how to trot your horse up. Please bring all documentation with you, such as passport and vaccination certificates. There will be an FEI vet there to check your paperwork and make sure that it is all in order. Even if you have no intention of competing in April this will be an invaluable check and you will learn what you should have in your hand at such events.

It will be a really interesting day, even of you have no desire to take part in FEI competition as it will reveal some of the mysteries behind the system. Anyone can take part in the class in April and you may wish to, just so you can ´tick that box!¡ , It is great opportunity for anyone with aspirations to gain a team place, either Junior or Senior. It is also invaluable for anyone who may wish to take an FEI stewards course or come along as a groom!

BR will be funding each member £30 towards to the cost of the clinic so the price will be £90 if you have prepaid for the clinic but do not wish to do a CRI day then we will refund you or if you are staying in the course you will receive a rebate for the difference! Please be sure to let us know by email if you are or are not still intending to take part in the clinic.

There has been a slight amendment to the schedule that was originally published.

1) There will be a Novice Horse Class Pattern 9

2) Open Pattern changed to Pattern 6

3) Non pro Pattern changed to Pattern 6

An amended Schedule is available on the website www.gardenofenglandcircuit.co.uk
